I know that I will catch flack from people for doing this when talking about MY team, but I CAN'T STAND when people dog the Dallas Cowboys!!!I know, I know...EVERYONE has their 'opinion' about the coaches, the players, the front office management, etc. Here's my thing, YOU SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!!!True, there are some things I would change....True, I look at it as 'Super Bowl or BUST'....True, I can be a 'HOMER'....SUE ME!!! I BLEED SILVER AND BLUE!!! I'M A COWBOYS FAN FOR LIFE!!!However, I can be objective, but we have to realize that we don't need an All-Star team (i.e. Miami Heat), we need a team that is FULL of team chemistry/heart. Look at the formula for most teams that have had a TON of success...you generally have ONE Superstar (football can have 1 on Offense, 1 on Defense)..ONE All-Star (BIG player, not quite Superstar)....and a TON of role players who are 'situational'. Here are a few examples:Chicago Bulls - Jordan, Pippen, H. Grant, then Jordan, Pippen, Rodman...Jud Buechler, Steve Kerr, and Toni Kukoc for scoring...Ron Harper, BJ Armstrong, and Ronnie Brown for ball control...Bill Cartwright, Bill Wennington, Will Purdue, and Luc Longley to clog up the middle/facilitate the offense.90s Cowboys - Rotate the level of importance behind the Triplets (Aikman, Irvin, Smith), on defense Charles Haley, Leon Lett, and Ken Norton Jr. Then look at all the role players, whose names weren't BIG around the league, but were KEY in our Super Bowls...Nate Newton, Larry Allen, Alvin Harper, Darryl Johnston, Mark Stepnoski, John Gesek, Tony Casillas, Bill Bates, Kevin Smith, Larry Brown, Jim Jeffcoat, Chad Hennings, Mark Tuinei, Erik Williams, Dixon Edwards, Lin Elliot, Russell Maryland, Brock Marion, Lincoln Coleman, Chris Boniol, Tony Tolbert, and Jason Garrett.Dallas Mavericks CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM!!! - Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry....followed by DeShawn Stevenson, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler, Brian Cardinal, JJ Barea, Brendan Heywood, and Caron Butler.Denver Broncos (Super Bowl XXXII) - Aside from John Elway, Shannon Sharpe, Terrell Davis, Bill Romanowski, and Steve Atwater...how many people can you name without looking it up?Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Super Bowl XXXVII) - I can remember Warren Sapp, Keyshawn Johnson, Ronde Barber, Derrick Brooks, and Mike Alstott.SERIOUSLY, on average, how many Championship Teams can you list off more than 5 deep on the roster???WE HAVE BEEN SPOILED AS DALLAS COWBOYS FANS BUT WE NEED TO SUPPORT THEM LIKE OUR HISTORY HAS SHOWN!!!In the 1960s, the fan base for the Dallas Cowboys was UNREAL. True, it was mostly because it was a NEW team, and we'd NEVER had a PRO team in the area. The fans backed that team up, made it SEXY to come to play inDallasWHEN NOBODY WANTED TO!!! A few years later, and we set an UNPRECEDENTED, HISTORIC streak of 20 WINNING SEASONS!!! Even when we had that fall-off after Doomsday 1, the fans showed their support, and we ended up with Doomsday 2. During that time, we had FIVE SUPERBOWL APPEARANCES, WINNING TWO OF THEM!!!Enter Jerry Jones....Say what you want, but within the first 6 years, we WENT TO THE SUPERBOWL 3 TIMES, AND WON ALL OF THEM!!!True, things haven't quite been the same since then, especially from about 1999-2006. However, when FANS back their team, you can get just as good a result as if you ridicule EVERY SINGLE THING.We can look at things how we want....we ALL have our opinions. However, it's a business, and we have to support those who have 'shining moments', dumping those who will NEVER learn any better. For those who are inconsistent, we have to find a ROLE for them to play, or at least the Coaching Staff that WILL.This brings me to now, the 2011-2012 NFL Season, and MY Dallas Cowboys. At QB, the only people I'd rather have (at 100%) are Peyton Manning, Tom Brady (as much as I HATE his Beiber-looking self), and maybe...MAYBE...Aaron Rodgers. Sure, an upgrade at O-Line at LG/C, upgrade at S/CB, and an additional WR.Even so, I SUPPORT MY TEAM, no matter what I think of the product they're putting out there. SOMETIMES, the use positive reinforcements are necessary, by the fans, in order for their team to succeed.I will NO WAY claim to be an expert, but I do feel like we are FINALLY on the right track. We have our QB, a stable of RB’s, 2 WR’s, a heck of a LB crew (can't wait to see Bruce Carter on the field if what they say is true), and a DAMN good pairing of Coaches in Garrett/Ryan.I SUPPORT MY TEAM...I BELIEVE IN MY QB...I BLEED SILVER AND BLUE...I AM A DALLAS COWBOYS FAN!!!...sorry, I had to get that off my chest. All haters, non-believers, and bandwagoners can go elsewhere. Sometimes, you just gotta believe...we did it in 1991, only to see Super Bowls in 1992, 1993, and 1995. We did it in 1986, 2006, and 2011 for our Dallas Mavericks. Raiders fans, Browns fans, Cubs fans, and Cowboys fans do it 24/7-365. Rangers fans did it last year, and we were rewarded with a World Series appearance. This year, we could see that...and more.I know, I know...it's tough to do when you see things go down the drain in key situations, but we've got something special here, with a small window to do it in. [Think about it, we just had the NBA Finals, could see the World Series for the second time IN A ROW, a shot (long one that it might be) at the Super Bowl, and the Stars ALWAYS seem to start off good, with hopes of a Stanley Cup appearance.I BELIEVE...Do you???
