Rapid Fire: Dallas Cowboys News
Dallas Cowboys signed second-round pick (47th overall) tight end prospect out of San Diego State Gavin Escobar to a four-year contract worth 4.2 million dollars with 2.2 in guaranteed money.
ESPN Dallas.com reports there has been a "lot of good buzz" around second-year Cowboys defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford. ESPN's Tim MacMahon expects Crawford to serve as Anthony Spencer's backup at left end and to get snaps at both interior line spots.
Running Back Phillip Tanner looked "quicker and more explosive" in Cowboys OTA's this off season.
According to DallasCowboys.com this offseason that Tanner "remade" his body.
"I lost a little weight and leaned up a little bit," Tanner said.
"I’m able to see things and hit the hole without hesitating." Tanner is in a dogfight with North Texas product Lance Dunbar for the number three running back spot after being phased out down the stretch last season.
