Cowboys Shuffle Lineup As They Prepare For The Broncos.
As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for Peyton Manning and the undefeated Denver Broncos (4-0) the Cowboys are shaking the starting lineup. The Cowboys have benched second year weak side linebacker Bruce Carter in favor of veteran linebacker Ernie Sims.
Ernie Sims says he's starting at weak side linebacker this week. Been taking first team snaps over Bruce Carter— Todd Archer (@toddarcher) October 3, 2013
Orlando Scandrick will get the start over Morris Claiborne which will place Claiborne as the third corner on the depth chart. Scandrick, according to Pro Football Focus is allowing only 5.8 yards per reception in his coverage area that is tops in the NFL.
In other Cowboys news wide receiver Miles Austin did not practice today due to a nagging hamstring issue. George Selvie also did not practice as he is still dealing with concussion issues.
Selvie declined interview req. Wed. Not working today. That's concussion stuff. Tap your brakes on 'sourced' promises hes ready Sunday— mike fisher (@fishsports) October 3, 2013
Linebacker Justin Durant and backup defensive end Edgar Jones didn't practice as they are both nursing groin injuries.
Special teams/wide receiver Dwayne Harris was limited in practice but seems like he will play in Sunday’s game.
