Report: Cowboys Release Several Players From The Team

Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports that headed into rookie mini camp the Dallas Cowboys have released several players from their roster.

A few of the more notable names released today was Texas Longhorns’ standout Chris Whaley. Whaley suffered a torn Achilles during training camp last year and never recovered enough to make any kind of impact on the team so the Cowboys decided to cut ties.

Other players that were released today Reshod Fortenberry (OT), Ken Boatright (DE), Buddy Jackson (CB), and Ben Malena (RB).
