On This Day in Dallas Cowboys History. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Denver Broncos 27-10 in Super Bowl XII at the Louisiana Super Dome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Dallas Cowboys defense dominated the Broncos most of Super Bowl XII, forcing eight turnovers and allowing only eight pass completions by the Denver offense for just 61 yards.

Defensive tackle Randy White and defensive end Harvey Martin were named Super Bowl Co-MVPs.
