To Quarterback Or Not To Quarterback

With the latest loss for the Dallas Cowboys they have all but secured a top eight selection. A win versus the hated Washington Redskins and they could slip down to eight. A loss and the Cowboys could lock up the number four pick where they currently sit.

So where do the Cowboys look once the NFL Draft approaches?

Well for my Twitter followers, they know I want a quarterback. Some agree but most think I have lost my marbles to want to take a guy who will likely sit behind Tony Romo for two seasons. That’s almost asinine to use a high pick on a guy who will sit. Except when you look at Romo’s history, will the quarterback actually sit for two seasons?

This season Romo lost time due to re-fracturing his collarbone he fractured in the 2010. After he came back from the injury he re-fractured it again. In 2013 and 2014 he had missed time due to back injuries.

Since 2010 Romo has missed a total of 16 games. At this point you should expect that Romo will miss some time in the 2016 season. Are you comfortable with Moore as your starter for any time during the season?

As we state every year it is time for the Cowboys to address their heir apparent. The Cowboys have a top 10 pick and when it comes to drafting a quarterback that seems to be the best spot to be in.

You can point out the Drew Brees, Tom Brady or Tony Romo scenarios but those are the exceptions not the rule. At this point the question becomes which one do you want?

Which I will be diving into as the off season progresses.
